The MT3406 is a constant frequency, currentmode step-down converter. Thedeviceintegrates a main switch and a synchronousrectifier for high efficiency without anexternal Schottky diode. It is ideal for poweringportableequipment that runs froma singlecell Lithium-Ion (Li+) battery. The output voltagecan be regulated as low as 0.6V. TheMT3406can also run at 100%duty cycle for lowdropoutoperation, extending battery life inportablesystem. This device offers twooperationmodes, PWM control and PFMModeswitchingcontrol, which allows a high efficiencyover thewider range of the load.
